David K. Camacho grew up in East Brunswick, NJ before transitioning to Huntsville, AL for college. There, he completed his undergraduate studies in biomedical sciences at Oakwood University. In May 2024, David will receive his medical doctorate from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is excited for his preliminary year at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital. During his free time, David enjoys powerlifting, playing softball, and perfecting baking recipes.
CAROLINE COTTON is originally from Hershey, PA. She completed her bachelor’s degree with honors in molecular biology at Penn State University and received her medical degree from the University of Virginia. Her interests include clinical research, cycling, and tennis.
JOE DESIMONE is from Phoenixville, PA. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Wake Forest University and his medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College. In his free time, Joe enjoys exploring new restaurants, fishing with his father, golfing with friends, and cheering on the Philadelphia sports teams.
ANKUR NAHAR was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his under-graduate degree in biology at Temple University and his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College. In his free time, Ankur loves running, lifting weights, hiking, nature photography, healthy baking, and sketching. He plans to complete the Tour du Mont Blanc this summer.
BELA PAREKH is from Montville, NJ. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and her medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School. In her spare time, Bela likes to travel abroad, dance, run, and explore CorePower Yoga.
NATHALIE PEREZ is from Miami, FL. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida. and received her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. In her spare time, Nathalie likes to try new restaurants, practice vinyasa yoga, and read.
MINJIA TANG was born in Guangzhou, China and grew up in Columbus, Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University and her medical degree from North-western Feinberg School of Medicine. Minjia enjoys being out on the water as a coxswain for crew and traveling abroad.
JOHN WILLIAMSON is from Chicago and came to the East Coast as a part of a 7-year accelerated BS/MD program between Pennsylvania State University and Sidney Kimmel Medical College. In his spare time, Jack likes to train for marathons, play the guitar, and take backpacking trips with his brother.
