VISUALLY IMPAIRED SPEAKER NINO PESCE MEETS WITH FIRST-YEAR RESIDENTS (9/8/17)

News Image:

Nino Pesce, a former employee of Wills Eye Hospital, who shared
a close friendship with the late, Dr. William Tasman, going
back to their days working in the Retina Service.

Every year, since 1991, Nino has benn invited to speak with
incoming residents during their pre-residency training
to discuss interacting with the visually impaired.

Nino's lectures have a strong impact on the emotions. In a
span of minutes, he'll have everyone laughing as he
recalls a humorous episode in his life, then, crying
just as intensely while speaking of the "beautiful
wife [he's] never seen."
