SECOND ANNUAL COIN WARS COMMENCE -RAISING FUNDS FOR (12/1/14)
The Second Annual Coin Wars Competition was initiated this morning, when Caitlyn Hill and Michael Carestio delivered nearly a dozen five-gallon, blue translucent jugs throughout the hospital and Aramark building. Rich Grosso (Supplies), who dropped a handful of coins into the 7th Floor's container, was the first donor within Wills Eye Hospital.
Last year's Coin Wars competition raised $2,626.57 for Philabundance, a local charity dedicated to feeding the needy. The Residents' Fund, which assists patients with limited financial resources, will be the recipient of this year's fundraising effort.
