WILLS EYE WELCOMES “WORLD SIGHT DAY” BRINGS GLAUCOMA AWARENESS TO PHILLY STREETS (10/10/13)

Approximately, twelve Wills Eye Hospital ambassadors of information, canvassed the area from Market Street, the Gallery and assorted pedestrian areas, warning the public of the signs & symptoms of Glaucoma--the number one cause of irreversible blindness.
Ben Edmonds, an office manager for the Low Vision/Contact Lens Service, was among the staff employees who volunteered to walk the rainy streets of Philadelphia passing out literature describing the dangers of glaucoma.
